KARACHI: Pasban supplies 5,000 tents

KARACHI, Oct 26: NGO Pasban Pakistan has so far got manufactured 5,000 water/wind proof tents for earthquake victims. The orders for the supplies had been placed by the Pakistan Army, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Alamgir Welfare Trust, Edhi Foundation and other organizations engaged in relief activities in quake-hit areas.

The Pasban has to get another 20,000 tents ordered to be supplied by Nov 10. according to a Pasban spokesman Abdul Hakim Quaid who said that the supplies were being made on ‘no profit no loss’ basis.

Over 50 people are engaged in manufacturing the tents, with a target of over 100 pieces a day, at two factories, one in SITE and the other in Korangi, under the supervision of the Pasban.—PPI
