QUETTA: Opposition parties in Balochistan have announced that they will boycott the budget session and hold a meeting in front of the provincial assembly from Monday.

“We will expose the ministers and members of the treasury by releasing a white paper on their loot and plunder,” declared MNA Maulana Abdul Wasey, the provincial chief of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, while addressing a joint presser with Nawab Aslam Raisani, Malik Sikander Khan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar of the BNP-Mengal and Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal of the PkMAP here on Saturday.

The leaders of the opposition parties said that they had submitted an application with the police for lodging an FIR against Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani and police officers concerned, but the FIR had not been registered so far. “If FIR is not registered, we will approach the court of law,” the Maulana said.

Seeks to lodge FIR against CM, others

He said that a joint meeting of the opposition parties as well as PDM members had decided to launch a movement against the government to get rid of the incompetent rulers.

He alleged that a ‘bunch of incompetent’ persons led by CM Alyani were engaged in conspiracies to fan tribal animosities so that their government could continue.

He announced that a complete shutdown would be observed on June 25.

Maulana Wasey said the PDM member parties might have different views but after a lengthy consultation they resolved that they would get rid of the “selected and incompetent CM and his gang”. He said the joint opposition would boycott the current budget session of the Balochistan Assembly completely.

“Jam Kamal is trying to make the land of Balochistan a battlefield,” he said.
