QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Saturday said he was not bothered about attacks on him by opposition parties but expressed concern over desecration of the assembly by “goons”.

He said in a Twitter message: “I have no fear or concern even one percent over the attack on him the other day in the assembly premises but a tragic undemocratic and condemnable incident is a serious matter for me.”

“When I am no longer chief minister then Akhtar Hussain Langove, Sana Baloch, Nawab Aslam Raisani and Ahmad Nawaz can try their passion again. It is disturbing and worrying for me that the provincial assembly has been harmed and desecrated by these hooligans,” he said.

The chief minister said that when so-called nationalists and religious people were in power, they did nothing for Qila Abdullah, Chaman or Loralai, but the Balochistan Awami Party, Awami National Party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Jamhoori Watan Party, Balochistan National Party-Awami and Hazara Democratic Party as coalition partners issued health cards, created new districts comprising Chaman and Qila Abdullah, carved out a new division comprising Loralai, created vacancies for teachers of Global Partnership for Education, set up medical and other colleges, set up endowment funds and increased salaries of government employees by 25 per cent.
