PESHAWAR: The president has posted six federal law officers to Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan, including senior lawyer Amir Javed as additional attorney general.

A notification issued by the law and justice division said the appointments included an additional attorney general, a deputy and four assistant attorneys general.

Apart from Amir Javed, Qazi Babar Irshad Advocate has been appointed deputy attorney general for Peshawar, whereas Abdul Qayyum, Shah Faisal Ilyas and Arshad Ali have been notified as assistant attorneys general for the capital.

Similarly, Mohammad Arif Kamran has been appointed as assistant attorney general for DI Khan.
