LAHORE: A 19-year-old girl was shot dead over some dispute in Ghaziabad on Sunday.

Police said the girl was washing clothes in her house when their opponents reached there and opened fire at their gate.

Police said the girl suffered a bullet wound to her chest and was taken to a nearby hospital where she could not survive. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered the case.

The investigating officer said the brother of the victim Shabbir and Lala Usman group of the same locality had developed differences some days ago over some issue. He said Lala Usman and his accomplices had reached the house of the victim and opened fire at the gate.

He said teams were constituted to arrest the suspects who managed their escape.

Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Muhammad Dogar has taken notice of the firing incident and directed SP Saad Aziz to arrest the suspects.
