ISLAMABAD: The federal capital reported 86 new cases of Covid-19 with the positivity rate of 2.58 per cent on Saturday.
Officials of the capital administration said 3,331 tests were conducted in the city in the last 24 hours.
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia said the health office traced 583 contacts of the 94 cases reported on Friday. Out of the total, samples were collected from 391 persons, he added.
The 94 confirmed cases and 391 suspects were isolated and quarantined, respectively, he added.
Moreover, nine patients, all residents of Islamabad, were admitted in different hospitals, Dr Zia said, adding 10 patients were also brought to the hospitals from other districts.
As many as 105 patients, who are residents of the capital, are in hospitals and 94 of them are on oxygen and 11 on ventilators, the DHO added.
On Saturday, the capital had 3,279 active cases while 522 patients recovered from the disease.
Rawalpindi
As many as 178 patients were discharged from hospitals and 46 more people tested positive in the district on Saturday.
There are 436 active patients in the district. As many as 56 patients are in hospitals and 380 home isolated. Moreover, 720 patients are waiting for their results.
Total 21 patients arrived in hospitals from the garrison city - five from the cantonment, five from Potohar Town and 11 from Rawal Town.
From the other parts of the district, nine patients arrived from Taxila, six from Kallar Syedan and four from Murree. Three patients were also brought from AJK and one patient each from Chakwal and Khushab.
Of the new patients, 21 were admitted in Holy Family Hospital, 11 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 17 in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU), 17 in Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH), two in Bilal Hospital and one patient in Hearts International Hospital.
There are five patients on ventilators, 44 on oxygen and 20 are stable.
