MIRPURKHAS, Oct 23: District Nazim Dr Kaneez Sughra Junejo has directed officials concerned to take necessary measures to eliminate corruption and irregularities from the education department.

She said that schools lying closed be opened by appointing additional teachers so that children could get proper education.

She was presiding over a meeting of the education department officers at her office here on Saturday. DCO Khursheed Naeem Malik, EDO education Haji Khan Raho and other officers attended the meeting.

Dr Junejo said the government was taking all out efforts for the promotion of education as necessary facilities were being provided at the schools.

She urged the officers to keep strict vigilance on enrolment and use of SMC funds.
