Sri Lankans in India for ODIs

MUMBAI, Oct 21: Sri Lanka team, led by Marvan Atapattu, arrived here on Friday for seven-match One-Day Series against India to be held from Oct 25-Novr 12. Lankan cricketers, accompanied by Australian-born coach Tom Moody, are to play a warm-up game at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday against MCA President’s XI team led by Nilesh Kulkarni before leaving for Nagpur on Oct 23 for first ODI scheduled on Oct 25.

The remaining six ODIs are scheduled to be held at Mohali (Oct 28), Jaipur (Oct 31), Pune (Nov 3), Ahmedabad (Nov 6), Rajkot (Nov 9) and Vadodara (Nov 12).

This is first ODI visit by Sri Lankans to India in eight years. Their last tour was in 1997-98 season.
