BAJAUR: Two women suffered injuries after roof of a house collapsed in Khar town here on Monday.

Residents and Rescue 1122 officials said the incident occurred in the Ghaziabad Street.

The locals and a team of Rescue 1122 shifted both the women to the district headquarters hospital in critical condition.

In a separate development, provincial minister for zakat and ushr Anwarzeb Khan on Monday paid a surprise visit to a sasta bazaar in Khar, and directed the officials to ensure smooth provision of wheat flour, sugar and ghee.

He also met with customers, who told him that wheat flour, sugar and ghee were in short supply in the sasta bazaar.

Talking to assistant commissioner Fazal Raheem and other officials who accompanied him during the visit, the minister directed them to pay regular visits to the sasta bazaar to ensure availability of essential items there.
