PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Dr Sanaullah Abbasi has asked the traffic wardens to ensure implementation of the laws to curb traffic rules’ violation on the roads.
He also praised the wardens and officers for performing their duties with dedication during the pandemic and creating awareness among the people about the importance of adhering to the standard operating procedures against Covid-19.
He was speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony held at the Malik Mohammad Saad Shaheed police lines here on Wednesday.
Dr Abbasi distributed cash prizes and commendation certificates among the officers and traffic wardens for maintaining order on the city roads.
He said despite difficult situation and limited resources the traffic police managed to keep the traffic flowing on the Peshawar roads.
He also appreciated performance of chief traffic officer Abbas Majeed Marwat for improving the traffic situation since taking charge of the department.
