Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has warned that authorities could impose more severe restrictions if the coronavirus situation in the province worsens.
He advised citizens to fully implement coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid further restrictions. "The situation is deteriorating and we have observed that the civic and business communities are reluctant to fully implement the SOPs. Shops are crowded, social distancing [is not being followed] and masks are not being used. It has also been observed that the markets are open even after 6pm."
He appealed to people to strictly follow SOPs to protect themselves, their families, and the citizens of the entire country.
"If we implement [the SOPs], good days will surely come. People should cooperate with government agencies to control this epidemic," he added.
