SAHIWAL: An 11-year-old boy was electrocuted when he touched a high-voltage wire dangling over the rooftop of a seminary on Sunday.

The incident took place near Adda Muhammad Nagar, Burewala Road.

Muhammad Iqbal’s youngest son Zohaib was playing at the rooftop of village seminary and he accidentally touched a wire and suffered an electric shock. The boy was shifted to the Arifwala THQ hospital but he could not survive.

People protested and chanted slogans against Mepco for its failure to properly arrange wiring network.
