GWADAR: Construction work on the Shoro Protection Wall being built in the coastal tehsil of Pasni at a cost of Rs170 million has entered its final phase, official sources say.
The assistant commissioner of Pasni, executive engineer and other officials concerned inspected stone pitching on the 1,120-metre safety barrier the other day. Sub-divisional officer Gulab Baloch briefed the visiting team on various aspects of the project.
He said the first phase of the wall would be completed in next few weeks to prevent sea erosion in the south of Pasni city.
The visiting officers directed the contractor to expedite the work so that houses would be protected from sea erosion in the coming summer season.
