CHARSADDA: Two persons were killed and three injured when a car was ambushed in Bochay Pull area of Tangi tehsil here on Friday.

The police identified the victims as Noor Muhammad of Utmanzai and his nephew, Sadiq of Prang Ghar. They said the victims, who died on the spot, were going home.

The police said the firing also caused injuries to three passersby identified as Samiullah, Azam and Khial Badshah. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Tangi, wherefrom two of the injured were referred to a Peshawar hospital.

According to the local people and police, the double murder was the result of a property dispute between rival groups.

A complainant Maqsood Jan got registered FIR with the Tangi police against accused namely Tahir, Hameed Khan, Aman, Yasir, Mohammad Ali and Yunas.
