DERA GHAZI KHAN: The commissioner has issued show-cause notices to 12 price-control magistrates in the four districts over their failure in controlling price hike in Ramazan.

The notices have been issued to the price-contol megistrates – Market Committee Secretary Ali Abbas Khosa, Rajanpur ADC (F&P) Fawad Baluch, ADCG Zubair Ahmed, District Officer (DO-Industries) Muhammad Parvaiz, Chaubara Livestock DO Mr Zubair, Agriculture Officer Ghulam Mustafa, Assiatan Director (consumer protection), Layya, Muhammad Imran, Tehsildar Amir Iqbal, naib tehsildars of Chaubara, Layyah and Crore.

Commissioner Dr Irshad directed the magistrates to respond to the notices within three days by furnishing a report of their performance from April 1 to 25, otherwise action would be taken against them under the PEEDA.

COVID DEATHS: Four Covid patients including two women died at the teaching hospital of the Ghazi Medical College.

According Dr Khalid Tehseen, four patients suffering from Covid died at special isolation ward of teaching hospital.

Nusrat Mai, Zahida Mai, Ghulam Hussain and Muhammad Ghous were on ventilator and died on Tuesday.

He said 52 patients of Covid were on ventilators and three of them were in critical condition.
