The administration of Karachi's Central district has imposed discrete ‘micro’ smart lockdowns in parts of Gulberg, Liaquatabad, North Karachi and North Nazimabad for two weeks due to the third wave of Covid-19, according to a notification from the office of the deputy commissioner (Central).

The order said the lockdowns will be enforced in the streets of the houses with coronavirus-infected people from April 24 until May 8.
As many as 37 houses and apartments along with their streets in different parts of the district were placed under micro-smart lockdown. They are located in Blocks 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19 in Gulberg; Block 8 and Firdous Colony in Liaquatabad; Sectors 11-A and 11-B in North Karachi; and Blocks A, B, J and L in North Nazimabad.
