The Sindh government has changed the "safe days" in Karachi to Friday and Sunday, according to a notification from the provincial home department.
The notification stated that the change was made on the request of the Karachi commissioner who had informed the provincial government about the concerns of the city's trade associations.
"All commercial [activities], business [and] markets will observe Friday and Sunday as closed days instead of Saturday and Sunday (Karachi division only)," said the notification.
