RAWALPINDI: A woman was gunned down and her husband injured in their house in Kahuta by three robbers on Wednesday.

Riaz Zahoor complained to the police that he along with his wife Mehfooz Bibi and children was at home when the armed men entered the house.

He said when he overpowered one of the gunmen, the other robbers beat him up causing an injury to his head.

As he fell on the ground, his wife came to his rescue. Ms Mehfooz shouted at the gunmen that she had identified them.

The gunmen then shot her dead and escaped. In another incident, a man was shot and injured by two motorcycle riders in Chah village on Chakri Road.
