LAKKI MARWAT: The police on Wednesday arrested a man for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in Serai Gambila area here.

Officials said the victim belonging to a poor family was a pushcart vendor.

The boy took a lift from a bike rider, Bakhtullah, a resident of Haramatala Bittani, to go to a nearby petrol pump, said an official, adding Bakhtullah did not stop at the filling station and took the boy to a canal in Bhawal Kallay area, where he molested him.

The official said the police arrested the accused when the boy reported the incident to the Serai Gambila police.

Also on Wednesday, Lakki Marwat police arrested two suspects and seized two assault rifles and ammunition from them.
