PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa home department on Monday ordered freezing of all the moveable and immovable assets of the recently proscribed Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) in the province.

A notification was issued by the home department under section 11-O of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, wherein all the divisional commissioners were directed to identify the moveable and immovable assets of TLP in their respective areas and freeze/seize the same immediately.

Following the issuance of the notification, the district administrations in Peshawar and Charsadda sealed the local offices of TLP.

In Peshawar, the administration sealed the office situated in the limits of Chamkani police station.

After violent events and sit-ins by members of TLP in different cities, the federal interior ministry had on April 15, 2021, declared TLP a proscribed organisation under section 11 B (1) of Anti-Terrorism Act and placed it in the first schedule of the Act.
