SHANGLA: An unknown assailant stormed into a house here on Saturday night and killed a man and his three sons in Aloch area of Puran tehsil.

The police were informed by the local people that they heard gunshots inside Zareen Gul’s house in Bagyar village. When the personnel reached there they found four people lying in a pool of blood, Shangla police spokesperson Umar Rehman told reporters on Sunday.

He said police shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Aloch, for autopsy. After fulfilling the medico-legal procedure the bodies were handed over to relatives.

He said the family had lodged an FIR against an unidentified attacker, stating that they had no enmity with anyone. He added the police had cordoned off the area and were making raids to arrest the suspected killer.

The police spokesperson said the motive behind the gory incident was yet to be known.

The deceased were identified as Zareen Gul and his sons, Attaur Rehman, Faizur Rehman and Azizur Rehman.
