ISLAMABAD: Following the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to hold online open courts where people can share their problems for redressal. The first online court is being held on April 13. Initially, complaints on sewerage system and sanitation will be heard and addressed at the earliest.

According to a statement, in light of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s instructions for immediate resolution of public issues, the CDA has also provided immediate relief to citizens of the federal capital.

People can submit their complaints on Tuesday at 3pm on can express their problems on the Facebook address,www.facebook.com/capital.development.authority.usb.

“In the first phase, a court will be held to resolve issues related to sewerage system and sanitation. Complainant must enter his name, mobile number, details of the complaint in the comment box,” a statement stated.

Meanwhile, the CDA has sealed five plots of I & T Centre of G-8/1 for violation of layout plans (LOPs). The plots numbers are 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 of I & T Centre.

According to details, the plot owners had set up illegal shops in the residential area on the rear side of I & T Centre in violation of the Islamabad Capital Treasury Building Control Regulations 2020. In this regard, the owners of the said plot were issued show-cause notices, however, the notices were not complied with by the owners. The Building Control Department (BCS) of CDA has sealed the entrances.

It is pertinent to mention here that, opening of shops at the rear side of I&T Centre is not only a violation of the approved LOP, but also is a matter of public concern.

“The shops have entrances towards the residential area and were causing public issues. These illegal shops not only block footpaths but also cause of illegal parking,” the CDA spokesperson said.
