KARACHI: Usman Club and St Patrick’s Geser Club registered fine victories in the SSB Pakistan Day Boys Basketball tournament here at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir courts on Thursday.

In the first match St Pats Geser beat Dow Club 28-20. The leading scorers for the winners were Andrew Turner (10 pts) and Nicole (8 pts) while for the losing side, the main scorers were Maaz (10 pts) and Haris Khan (8 pts).

In the second match of the day, Usman Club beat Peterson Star Club 37-31 to qualify for the next stage. Moeed Amir (11 pts) and Hamza Khwaja (10 pts) were the leading scorers for the winners while for the losing side, the main scorers were Steven Fernandes and Elvis Fernandes who both scored 10 points each.

Arshad Saeed, secretary Sukkur Division basketball, was the chief guest on the occasion and was introduced to the players. KBBA and the players and officials also condoled the death of PBF secretary Khalid Bashir’s mother.
