HYDERABAD: All faculties, teachers and students at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam would soon have access to internet under ‘smart university’ project, said SAU Vice Chancellor Dr Fateh Marri on Thursday.

He said at a seminar on scholarship opportunities for foreign studies that the purpose of the initiative was to provide students easy and speedy access to sources of knowledge available worldwide.

“We have already taken initiatives to improve physical health and knowledge of students and now there is need to engage them in other healthy and productive activities,” he said.

The seminar which was organised to guide students to find scholarships for foreign studies was attended by students of all levels, faculty members and professors.

The VC said that the varsity management was making efforts to make available new books in reading rooms and libraries and online facilities for students of all categories. It was now up to students to take advantage of these facilities.

He said that SAU had established different centres and now the university was going to establish English language speaking centre which would be highly beneficial for students.

Earlier, Imtiaz Ahmed Solangi and Kanwal Bhutto discussed in their lectures how to look for scholarships for foreign studies and advised students to adopt practice of reading, writing and listening and set targets to achieve.
