KARACHI: Mushtaq Memon laid to rest

KARACHI, Oct 15: Senior journalist and former staffer of daily Dawn, Mushtaq Ahmed Memon, who died here on Friday, was laid to rest at the Mevashah Graveyard on Saturday.

His funeral prayers were offered at the Sultan Masjid in DHA.

Soyem will be held at Masjid-i-Sultan, between 2 and 3pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro has expressed deep sense of shock and grief over the sad demise of Mushtaq Memon, elder brother of Senator Nisar Memon.

In his massage to Senator Nisar Memon, the Chairman Senate lauded the role played by Mushtaq Memon for working journalists. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family.
