NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found and a shepherd suffered serious injuries in a landmine explosion in North Waziristan tribal district on Monday.

The police said bodies of Faridullah, 25, and Shafqatullah, 20, were recovered from a natural watercourse in Danday Darpakhel area. They were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Miramshah, for postmortem.

After identification, the bodies were handed over to the relatives.

The police said the two men had gone missing a few days ago.

Separately, a shepherd named Dawar Gul was struck by a landmine explosion, also in Danday Darphakhel area. He was grazing goats and sheep when the explosion occurred.

The wounded person was shifted to a hospital in Miramshah.
