DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Differences have surfaced between Federal Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI MNA Yaqub Shaikh.

Addressing a press conference here the other day, Mr Shaikh alleged that Mr Gandapur was unnecessarily interfering in his constituency. He also showed reservations about the inclusion of Khalid Saleem Ustrana in the party. He said that Mr Ustrana, who recently joined PTI through Mr Gandapur, had come forth in the last elections.

“He can’t even become a village nazim,” Mr Shaikh said in apparent reference to Mr Ustrana. “Corruption is at peak in Dera Ismail Khan. My brother was in the hospital for 16 hours and there was no doctor,” he claimed.

Meanwhile, Mr Ustrana alleged that MNA Yaqub Shaikh from NA-39 was an incompetent politician whose incompetency was causing severe political damage to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Dera Ismail Khan. “The stories of his incompetence are common,” he added.

MOU SIGNED: The Gomal University and Agriculture University, Dera Ismail Khan, have signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation and research endeavours, which would benefit students of both the institutions.

The MoU signing ceremony was held in Gomal University. Gomal University ORIC director Prof Niamatullah Babar and Agriculture University registrar Fakhruddin signed the MoU.

Agriculture University VC Prof Masroor Elahi Babar said strong academic institutions produced strong and productive minds. He said that his university would continue its efforts to polish the raw talent.

Gomal University VC Prof Iftikhar Ahmad reassured his stance of supporting this newly-established university in every possible way. He said that students of the Agriculture University would be welcomed to use the laboratories and other research facilities of Gomal University.
