CHARSADDA: Three persons were killed and one was injured over a money dispute in Kandase Baba village of Abazai here on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in the limits of Tangi police station.

Mian Salahuddin, who was injured in the firing, reported to the Tangi police that he along with Babar, Hamid and Sahib Gul was going in a car when Behramand, Rashid, Suliman, Wajid and their other accomplices opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle. As a result, he said Babar, Hamid and Sahib Gul died on the spot, and he sustained injuries.

He told the police that the reason for the triple murder was a dispute over a money transaction.

The police registered an FIR and started making efforts to arrest the attackers.

Meanwhile, brothers killed their sister for not cooking bread for them in Manikhela area, said officials of Sardheri police station, in whose limits the incident occurred.

They said that Mohammad Sher, father of the deceased woman, and a resident of Shiekhabad area, reported to the police that his sons – Shadab and Sohrab – first beat their sister for not cooking bread for them and later when she ran inside her room to avoid thrashing; they followed her there and shot her dead.

The police registered a report and started further investigation.

Also on Wednesday, Shahzad, a resident of Sheikh Babaji area, was killed by rivals over a family dispute.

Ibn Ameen, brother of the deceased, reported to the Nesata police that he along with his brother went to a bazaar to purchase some clothes when Hidayatullah and his son, Usman opened fire at Shahzad, killing him on the spot.

Separately, a four-year old girl, Ajwa, was killed and her two sisters, Moneba and Marwa, sustained wounds when roof of their house caved in due to recent rains in Hari Chand area.

The injured girls were taken to a hospital.
