Mirpurkhas Fighters win SSB Kashmir Cup basketball

TANDO JAM: Mirpurkhas Fighters edged past Mirpurkhas Warriors 42-41 in a thrilling final to win the SSB Kashmir Day Cup basketball tournament here at the Sindh Agriculture University gymnasium on Monday.

Ehsan Khan (16 points) was the architect of victory for Fighters and well supported by Mohammad Latif (15) and Haris Khan (14).

For the Warriors, the main scorers were Raheel Khaan (14) and Abdur Rahman (12). Ehsan was declared Player of the Tournament.

Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Fawad Ghaffar Soomro was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the prizes among the players and the teams.

He lauded the standard of the game and paid rich tributes to Secretary Sports Sindh Imrtiaz Ali Shah. Fawad assured all cooperation for the All Sindh Makhdoom Amin Fahim basketball tournament, set to be held here in April under the auspices of the SOA.

Later, KBBA President Ghulam Mohammad and SAU Director Sports Anwar Khanzada thanked Vice Chancellor SAU Fateh Mohammad Mari and and Imrtiaz Shah for their support and vision for holding the tournament here.
