GWADAR: Two soldiers of the Frontier Corps (FC) on Saturday suffered injuries in a grenade attack in the Sangani Ser area of Turbat town in Kech district.

Police officials said that the Frontier Corps personnel were busy in routine checking near the old civil hospital in the town when an unidentified man on a motorcycle hurled a grenade at them and fled.

Soon after receiving information about the grenade attack, a team of security personnel rushed to the area and took the injured FC personnel to the district hospital in Turbat town.

The injured FC personnel were identified as Lance Naik Qismatullah and Sharifullah.

It was the second attack on FC personnel in Turbat town in the past two weeks.

After the incident, security forces launched a search operation in the area, but no arrest was reported till the filing of this report, sources said.
