ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Athar Minallah on Friday said across the board accountability was indispensible for the rule of law.

While meeting the newly elected office-bearers of Islamabad High Court Journalists Association (IHCJA), Justice Minallah said that rule of law was the base of sustainable society.

He said the court reporters were playing vital role in highlighting the issues related to the litigants who were the actual stakeholder of the criminal justice system, hence, they were contributing to building the people confidence in the judiciary.

He expressed hope that the court reporters would uphold principles of ethical journalism while reporting the court cases.

Justice Minallah also congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the IHCJA.
