GUJRANWALA: Five members of a family were found murdered here on Thursday at Dogranwala village.

Imran, a resident of Mandiala Tega village, had contracted love marriage with Fauzia 10 years ago and shifted to Dogranwala village in Cantonment police precincts. He had been living there for the last 10 years and was employed as a tractor driver.

On Thursday morning, Imran went to his job. Later, villagers informed him that his wife and four children were found murdered in the house.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sarfraz Ahmad Falki along with the investigation SSP and Civil Lines SP Muhammad Awais reached the spot and recovered the bodies of Fouzia (40), her three daughters Sania (10), Tania (8), Tabish (6) and son Hadi (2).

The CPO told the media that the deceased were hit on the head by some hard object. Police have taken Imran into custody for investigation.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the regional police officer.
