SWABI: A fire destroyed precious trees in the mountains of Sarkoi Bala, Topi tehsil, here on Wednesday, Rescue 1122 officials said, adding it was brought under control after eight hours of struggle.
The firefighters led by Usman Khan reached the spot soon after getting information from the local people.
The officials said that the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
The area people also participated in the efforts to put out the fire, which destroyed precious trees.
A firefighter said they succeeded in their efforts to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby farmlands.
KILLED: Faisal Khan was killed when two motorcycles collided here in Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate.
Faisal and Khalid Khan were injured in the accident.
They were taken to THQ hospital, Topi, where the doctors pronounced Faisal dead.
