KARACHI: New police cell set up

KARACHI, Oct 8: The Sindh Home Department has decided to launch an inter-provincial operation to end street crimes, Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui told newsmen here on Saturday.

He said this was decided in a high-level meeting in which a team comprising police personnel of anti-dacoity and anti-violent crime cells, has been set up, headed by SP Anti-Violent Crime Cell Farooq Awan, to arrest those who used to flee to other provinces after committing street crimes in Karachi. —PPI
