ADDRESSING a mammoth meeting of about two lakhs of Muslims in the Urdu Park, opposite Jamia Mosque … Mr. M.A. Jinnah, President, All-India Muslim League, offered his heartiest congratulations to the Muslim Nation in India for their hundred percent success in the last elections to the Central Assembly and thanked them for casting their votes in favour of the Muslim League candidates.

The meeting was organised by the Delhi Provincial Muslim League in connection with the “Election Victory Day” celebrations. A resolution congratulating the Musalmans of India for their splendid success in the Central Assembly elections and reiterating the representative character of the Muslim League was passed by the meeting unanimously. Qazi Mohammed Isa, a member of the all-India Muslim League Working Committee, also addressed the meeting. Mr. Jinnah, while rising to speak, was welcomed with thunderous shouts of “Qaid-e-Azam Zindabad”, “Muslim League Zindabad”, “Pakistan Zindabad”, etc.

“We have completed the first round of our fight and are beginning the second round,” observed Mr. Jinnah in the course of his speech in Urdu. “Today on January 11 the ‘Victory Day’ is being celebrated not only in Delhi but all over the country. This is the happiest day for us,” added the Qaid-e-Azam.
