Five injured in Turbat grenade attack

GWADAR: Five people were injured in a grenade blast in the main market of Turbat town on Sunday.

The injured were identified as Liaquat Ali, Nasib Khan, Zeshan Ali, Muhammad Naeem and Liaquat.

Police said that an unknown motorcyclist hurled the grenade at a check-post of the Frontier Corps in the main city, injuring five people.

Police rushed to the blast site soon after receiving the information, cordoned off the entire area and started investigation.

The injured, all civilians, were taken Turbat Civil Hospital.

“It was a grenade attack which left five people injured and two vehicles damaged,” police officials said.

A case against unknown terrorists has been registered by police.

The district police officer of Kech said that security forces had launched a search operation and conducted raids on suspected places.
