Punjab name TT probables for camps

ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: Punjab Table Tennis Association (PTTA) has selected its probables for an upcoming international and a national competition. These probables will feature in national training camps for the Pakistan-India Punjab Games and the national under-19 table tennis competitions scheduled to commence at Lahore and Rawalpindi from Oct 15.

The four players selected to represent Punjab in the national under-19 training camp are Usama Tahir (Gujrat), Umair Hussain (Lahore), Abdur Rahim (Toba Tek Singh) and Salman Virk (Sheikhupura).

Four boys and as many girls will attend the training camp for Pakistan-India Punjab Games 2005. The girls are Kanwal Iqbal, Tamsila (Rawalpindi), Sania (Faisalabad) and Rabia (Jhelum).

The boys for this particular camp are Talat Mehmud (Gujranwala), Masood Iqbal (Bahawalnagar), Fakhar Khan (Rawalpindi) and Farhan (Faisalabad).

The boys training camp has been arranged in Lahore while that of girls at Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex in Rawalpindi from Oct 15.—APP
