THE American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE) was founded in the United States, and is the largest civil engineering society in the world with more than 150,000 registered professionals in 177 countries. Hundreds of engineers have joined the ASCE from all over the world and are reaping the benefits of it.

The ASCE offers 10 engineering courses free of cost for its members every year which are also registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Other than these courses, the ASCE provides its members with the opportunity to exchange ideas and knowledge through different platforms and online discussions and conferences.

Most importantly, ASCE provides excellence in education and research, which is vital for our young engineers. I would suggest to my engineering fellows to visit the ASCE website, interact with the community and explore more and better avenues of learning.
