Awam Dost Ittehad wins in RY Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Oct 6: Sardar Rafiq Haider Khan Leghari of the Awam Dost Ittehad (ruling PML) won the district nazimship by defeating Sardar Azhar Khan Leghari of the Rahim Yar Khan Ittehad.

Rafiq Leghari got 973 votes against 576 votes of Azhar Leghari.

Mian Aijaz Aamir (Awam Dost Ittehad) won the Rahim Yar Khan tehsil nazim seat by getting 321 votes. His rival, Makhdoom Irtaza Hashmi of the Rahim Yar Khan Ittehad got 195 votes.

In Sadiqabad tehsil, Dr Taloot Saleem Bajwa (Awam Dost Ittehad) won tehsil nazim seat by getting 270 votes against 105 votes of Sardar Azhar Khan Leghari of Rahim Yar Khan Ittehad.

In Khanpur tehsil, Syed Murtaza Shah (Awam Dost Ittehad) defeated Mohammad Nawaz Bhalka (Rahim Yar Khan Ittehad) by getting 338 votes. Nawaz Bhalka could get only 15 votes.

In Liaquatpur, Makhdoom Mobeen Ahmad was elected unopposed as his rival, Chaudhry Masood Ahmad, had retired some two days back.
