Man shot dead outside Gilgit courts

GILGIT, Oct 4: A man was shot dead by another man in vengeance within the premises of the Northern Areas Chief Court on Monday. Police sources said that as soon as Rahmat Jan, a resident of Chakarkot, Sai Jaglote, came out of the Gilgit Sessions Court after obtaining bail he was shot dead by Sher Alam. Sources said that police immediately started firing in the air which forced lawyers and their litigants to duck for cover.—Correspondent
