TAXILA: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Saturday praised the Tiger Force volunteers’ service to the humanity during the difficult time of the pandemic.

He was addressing a ceremony held in Hazro to distribute jackets among the force members.

He lauded the performance of the Tiger Force volunteers and said they were playing an active role in ensuring implementation on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

He lauded the role of Tiger Force, working along with different administrators to control the inflation.

He urged the people to adopt precautionary measures against the virus and follow the advice of the medical experts.

He said the pandemic had badly affected the world economy, including Pakistan, but the PTI government was making all-out efforts to provide relief to the citizens despite financial constraints.

Later addressing the participants of an open court at his residence, Malik Amin Aslam said the government was working efficiently to ensure good governance, rule of law and to improve the living standard of common man.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved a special package of Rs4 billion for different areas of the Attock district for provision of gas facility and to overcome low gas pressure.

While giving details of this mega project Malik Amin said that to overcome low gas pressure problem of the areas of NA-55 including Attock, Hazro and Hasanabdal a 28-km long pipeline having dia of 24 inches with an allocation of Rs1.6 billion would be initiated soon.

He said a sum of Rs3 million has been allocated for overcoming low gas pressure in Hazro City and work on it will be completed within next two weeks.

Malik Amin said that a work order for provision of gas facility to new residential areas of Attock, Hazro and Hasanabdal has been issued which will cost Rs500 million.

Replying to a question, Malik Amin said the case for provision of gas facility to 35 villages of Jand, Pindigheb and Fatehjang had been finalised and had been sent to Economic Cooperation Council for release of Rs1.8 billion to materialise the project.

Besides, 45 water filtration plants are being installed in different areas of Attock, Hazro and Hasanabdal to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the residents and to control water borne diseases, he said.

Earlier SAPM Amin Aslam listened to problems of the people and issued on the spot orders for their solution.
