Wapda claim judo title

LAHORE, Oct 3: Wapda with 30 points won the 17th National judo championship concluded in Peshawar the other day. The defending champions Army were runners-up with 12 points while Railways secured third spot with 12 points. In all, Wapda earned five gold , one silver and two bronze medals.

50kgs: Mushtaq Ahmed (Army); Azhar Ahmed (Railways); Sajid (NWFP).

55kgs: Zafar Iqbal (Army); Gulzar (Railways); Sharif (Wapda); Riaz (Punjab).

60kgs: Muhammad Asif (Wapda); Manga (Railways); Sharjeel (Police); Munawar (Army).

66kgs: Zeeshan (Wapda), Irfan (Punjab); Shahbaz (Police); Shabbir (Railways). 73 kgs: Arshad Hanif (Wapda); Abdul Hameed (Punjab); Dastgir (NWFP); M Nadeem (Police). 81 kgs: Saeed (Wapda), M Mehraj (Army), Sohail (Police), Asif (Railways). 90kgs: Ghazanfar (Wapda), Amjad Ali (Army), Tanvir (Railways), Qazi (NWFP). 100kgs: Talib Hussain (Army); Shahzad (Wapda); Kashif (Police); Zahid (Punjab).
