A meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has been informed that the highest positivity rate in the country was recorded in Karachi in the last 24 hours.

The national positivity rate has been recorded at 7.9 per cent whereas the rate in Karachi is 18.9pc, followed by Peshawar at 18pc and Hyderabad at 15.2pc.

The meeting was told that the positivity rate was increasing rapidly in Lahore and Rawalpindi as well.

The countrywide positivity rates are as follows:

  • Punjab: 4.3pc
  • Sindh: 12.2pc
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 11.6pc
  • Balochistan: 9.3pc
  • Islamabad: 4.6pc
  • Gilgit Baltistan: 1.9pc
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 8.7pc
