KARACHI: The recently commissioned Pakistan Navy ship Tabuk departed from Port Aksaz, Turkey, on Sunday.

Tabuk was on a visit to Turkey aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing naval collaboration and interoperability with the Turkish Navy.

According to information received here, while at Aksaz, PNS Tabuk was extended a warm welcome by Turkish naval authorities.

The commanding officer of PNS Tabuk called on Aksaz Naval Base Commander Rear Admiral I. Kurtulus Sevinc and discussed matters of mutual interest.

The commanding officer conveyed sincere regards from the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi for the people of Turkey in general and the Turkish Navy in particular.

The host military dignitary acknowledged Pakistan Navy’s contributions in ensuring regional maritime security.

The commanding officer also highlighted the deteriorating situation and human rights violations being committed by Indian armed forces against the innocent people of the illegally India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Upon departing the port, PNS Tabuk participated in a coordinated patrol with Turkish Navy ships. The visit of PNS Tabuk is reaffirmation of the PN-TN collaboration and is meant to further foster brotherly relations between the two countries.
