CHAGAI: Anti-government rallies under the banner of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) were held in Dalbandin and Kharan on Sunday.

Workers and supporters of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, Balochistan National Party-Mengal and National Party took part in these rallies.

In Kharan, the participants marched on roads of the city and later gathered outside the press club. They raised slogans against the government.

Addressing the participants, opposition leaders lashed out at the federal government over crackdowns against PDM workers in Multan.

They said the increasing inflation in the country had made the life of the poor people miserable. They alleged that the government was doing nothing to control the price hike.

In Dalbandin, the political workers and supporters of the PDM gathered at the city’s main roundabout where they were addressed by the local leaders of the opposition parties’ alliance.
