CALCUTTA: The Gandhi-Casey talks were resumed today [Dec 3] at 6 p.m. for the third day in succession at Government House, Calcutta. There was a small knot of spectators outside the Northern gateway of Government House today when Mahatma Gandhi arrived to resume his talks with Mr. Casey.
Mr. Peareylal arrived earlier in another car. Mr. Sudhir Ghosh also accompanied the party. Both cars, flying Congress flags, drew up at the porch of Government House. Mr. Gandhi was then shown into the Governor’s study.

Now that the conversations have continued for three days, there is no doubt that they deal with very vital issues of Bengal and of India. No authoritative light on the talks is of course available but the man-in-the-street regards them as probably the prelude to a Wavell-Gandhi meeting.
Today’s meeting lasted 75 minutes and Mr. Gandhi left at 7-15 p.m. The Governor and Mr. Gandhi have now held discussions on three consecutive days… .
