KARACHI: As many as 55 archers from various institutions and organisations participated in the Students Games archery, futsal, throwball and other sports competitions at the Mini Sports Complex Nazimabad on Tuesday. The Students Games are being held from Nov 24-Dec 8.

QAA Archery Academy, University of Karachi Archery Club, PYSWA Archery Club,, Bakaman Archery Club, Hadia Archery Club, Al-Nadi Burhani Archery Club and MSB Shabbir Abad Club participated in the archery competitions.

In throwball Pool A match, Wolf beat Raydan College 2 .0 while in Pool B, Farewell Dona beat Xtreme Academy 2.0 In the first throwball semifinal, Farewell dona beat Wolf 2-1.

In the futsal event, Lucky Men beat Makran Sports after thrilling contest. The two teams were tied at 6-6 in the stipulated time. In the extra time of five minute the match was again tied but in the penalty kicks, Lucky Men won 3-2.

In other matches, Young Equran beat Al-Murtaza, 7-6, Salah FC beat GA FC 5-2 and Aftab XI beat Green FC 6-3.

Maqbool Arain President, Pakistan Students Olympic Association was the chief guest on the occasion. Also present were PSOA officials Jaffar Ali Shah, Ivan Fedrick, Secretary Sindh Archery, Secretary PRSF Mansoor Shariq Siddiqui, PTF’s Rahila PTF, futsal organiser Wali Raza, and many others.
