NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Another elder was shot dead in a targeted attack in broad daylight in Miramshah area of the North Waziristan tribal district here on Tuesday.

Malik Maulla Khan was purchasing commodities in the Miramshah’s Pakistan Market when unknown attackers opened fire at him.

He belonged to Dyoger Saidgei area near the Afghan border.

The police shifted the body to the district headquarters hospital.

Following the incident, police and the security forces tightened security at various checkposts.

A search operation was conducted in the area but no arrest was made.

Five tribal elders have been shot dead during the last 24 hours.

Four elders were killed in Mirali on Monday when gunmen opened fire at their vehicle.

Earlier, four people working for Frontier Works Organisation were killed near Mirali, last week.
