PESHAWAR: The autopsy report of a minor girl, whose burnt body was recovered on the outskirts of the city some days back, failed to determine sexual assault as the body was badly burnt.

Burnt body of seven-year-old girl, who had gone missing a day earlier, was recovered from a local cemetery in the Badbher area of the city on Nov 19.

A spokesperson for the city police said that they had received the autopsy report of the minor, but it failed to establish whether or not she was sexually assaulted before murder as the body had badly been burnt.

SP Saddar circle Abdul Salam Khalid said about 44 suspects had been interrogated regarding the murder and more than 600 samples had been taken. He said the process would help trace and arrest the real culprit.
