KARAK: Two cousins were shot dead over an old enmity in Ghundi Mir Khan Khel area of Karak tehsil here on Monday.
Officials at the Sabirabad police station said that members of a rival group opened indiscriminate fire on two young cousins identified as Farhadullah and Nadir Iqbal of Mangarkhel area near the Khyber Chowk, leaving them critically injured.
The perpetrators of the crime managed to escape the scene. The injured persons were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, Karak, but the doctors pronounced them brought dead. Bodies of the victims were handed over to relatives after autopsy.
Hayat Jana, mother of slain Farhadullah, registered FIR of the incident in the Sabirabad police station, nominating Qabil Khan, Gul Daraz and Sahar Gul, residents of the same locality.
She informed the police that there had been an enmity going on between the two families.
The police, after registering FIR, started further investigations.
